A body-centered, body-wisdom based approach to the prevention and resolution of trauma for health and helping professionals |
|
Course Outline |
Traumatization is a pervasive phenomenon but effective, organismic treatments are hard to find that address the health of the whole person.
Trauma Healing is a gentle psychophysiological therapy; it is verbally facilitated, employs judicious use of touch, distinguishes between shock trauma and developmental trauma, and effectively employs multi-modal interventions to address the multifaceted symptoms of traumatization.
As a pragmatic therapy, Trauma Healing taps body-wisdom to capitalize on the innate and instinctual capacities of awareness and self-regulation. This training is designed for licensed, credentialed health and helping professionals who work with traumatized clients and want to integrate Trauma Healing into their allied health practice. |
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? |
| Health and helping professionals from all disciplines including psychologists, social workers, counselors, medical doctors, osteopathic doctors, nurses, chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, dance/movement therapists, massage/bodywork therapists, polarity therapy practitioners, teachers, police officers, firefighters, & EMTs are invited to apply and may earn continuing education credit. |
